Motivational Monday

WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MAN,
I WAS TOLD SUCCESS HAD TO
COME IN MY YOUTH.

I FOUND THIS TO BE A MYTH.

MY EXPERIENCES HAVE TAUGHT ME
THAT IF YOU DEEPLY BELIEVE
IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING,
SUCCESS CAN COME AT ANY AGE.
(Abe Vigoda, 1921-2016
age 94 at time of death)

I deeply believe.

Do you?

  1. Yes! Once upon a time, I might have believed that, but now I believe it can come at any age. Have a lovely week.

    1. I remember him mostly from Barney Miller, and he wasn't a young man then.

  3. Thanks for that. I'm not as old as Abe but I'm no youngster. I had different successes when I was young as a teacher and a mother and wife, but my writing success is for my old age. LOL

  7. I believe it. The late Alan Rickman didn't hit it big until he was in his forties I think with the movie Die Hard.

  8. Absolutely! Many of us don't even figure out what we want to do until we're a bit older.

  11. Agreed. As long as we never stop trying, success can happen at any moment. Besides, what is success really? As long as we are happy:) we are golden.

    1. Everyone's definition of success is different, and I think it sometimes changes as we get older.

  12. What is success but an unwillingness to give up? And to define success is a mercurial thing. It means something completely different from one person to the next. Truthfully though, I feel more successful the older I get--in the things that matter most.

  13. Definitely. I didn't get published until I was 65, so I'm convinced success can come in multiple waves throughout our lives.
