Hopelessly in Love - Nailpolish Stories

The August issue of Nailpolish Stories - "a tiny and colorful literary journal" where the titles of the stories are the colors of actual polish - is up and contains my micro fiction story, "Hopelessly in Love."

I'm pretty sure the creator of that nailpolish title color was going for something, uh, different than what I wrote, but I hope you enjoy reading it and all the other stories in the issue.

  1. Congrats on having your story included in this issue, I'd never heard of Nailpolish Stories before but I love it. Your story is heartbreaking and so touching, I'm really impressed by the emotion you conveyed in so few sentences. Great work!

  2. Julie - thank you so much. It's one of the reasons I love flash and micro fiction - the challenge of not only containing the story, the emotion, the characters, etc in so few words/lines but also releasing it, letting it be larger than it is on the page.

  6. Hi Madeline,
What a lovely story, moving and brief--and the title is perfect.
