Okay, I know this isn't a particularly motivational quote, but it made me laugh and sometimes a good chuckle is all that's needed to get on the right track.
I always laugh at that. It probably means his office staff is inefficient or lazy and that means trouble with billing and scheduling so it's good advice.
Lol - good quote - I haven't noticed either! I've also made it a rule never to visit a doctor with a last name of 'slaughter' - yes, we had one in my town growing up. It scared me.
Same. Typically, I'll have a cup of black coffee and play word games on my phone or read while chattering nervously to anyone near me. I dislike going to the doctor.
Erma Bombeck was one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteI'm worried now. My doctor doesn't keep any plants.
Yeah, I don't remember any plants at my doctor's either. I'm hoping she has some at home. Really healthy ones. :)
Deleteba ha haha ha ha!
ReplyDeletemotivational or not, got my day going =D
have a good week!
Then my work here is done. :)
DeleteLove Erma Bombeck. And like Maria, I don't recall my doctor having any plants in the office.
ReplyDeleteI'm still holding out hope that our doctors all have wonderful thriving plants at home....
DeleteI always laugh at that. It probably means his office staff is inefficient or lazy and that means trouble with billing and scheduling so it's good advice.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got a laugh. Again. :)
DeleteShe's right!
ReplyDeleteNext time I go to the doctor, I'm really going to have to look into this whole plant thing....
DeleteLOL. Now I'll have to check out the plants at the doctor's office...
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of us are going to be doing that during our next visit.
DeleteLove that quote! I'm never sure if I'm fond of doctors with fake plants, either. It makes me wonder . . .
ReplyDeleteHappy Motivational Monday, Madeline!
Ah, interesting point about fake plants.... :)
DeleteLOL! That is a funny quote.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? :)

ReplyDeleteI could see why that would scare you! Yikes!
DeleteThis is classic. LOL. I hope I am not visiting any doctors any time soon but when I do I will be sure to check out the plants. :D
ReplyDeleteNext time I'm due for my annual physical, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out. :)
DeleteThat does make me snicker. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from Elements of Writing
Good! :)
DeleteThanks for starting my week with a chuckle. I'm married to a plant keeper MD.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure they are healthy, thriving plants!
DeleteIt did make me laugh, Madeline! I feel the same way about plants in the office where the physical therapists do their thing.
ReplyDeleteGood point about the physical therapists' office! You want to see growth and thriving there as well. :)
DeleteHa! Good point. I don't think my doctor has any plants in her office, and if she did, they'd be plastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if, in this situation, plastic plants are better or worse than no plants. :)
DeleteI'm just imaging a doctor's office waiting room full of dead plants and years old Time and Men's Health.
ReplyDeleteHa! I can't even remember the last time I looked at a magazine in the doctor's office. I usually do stuff on my phone or just sit and think. :)
DeleteSame. Typically, I'll have a cup of black coffee and play word games on my phone or read while chattering nervously to anyone near me. I dislike going to the doctor.
DeleteOh, I hear you. Going to the doctor is far from my favorite thing to do.
