Looking Forward to February

I am so excited to share with you all this news from over at Every Day Fiction's February Table of Contents...

For the week of Valentine’s Day (February 11th — 15th), we’ve got a selection of sweet stories for you from Holliann R. KimJez Patterson,Cezarija Abartis, and Sarah Crysl Akhtarand on Valentine’s Day itself, just so no one needs to feel bitter, we’re featuring “Mrs. Drake’s Monsters”, a slightly tart anti-Valentine from Madeline Mora-Summonte.

No pressure, right? Yikes!

But wait, a horror story on Valentine's Day? Maybe. Maybe not. You'll just have to wait and see...

Also, Every Day Fiction is open to submissions and looking for the following...

We’re still looking for St. Patrick’s Day, Passover, and Easter stories for March — you’ll need to get them in before February 24th to be considered. We’ll be wanting spring stories next, and maybe something for Tax Day in April (deadline March 27th), and Mother’s Day and Victoria Day in May (deadline April 26th).

  1. That's great! I think a lot of people would love an anti-valentine on the 14th!

  2. MJ - it's funny, because I don't think it's so much anti-Valentine's Day as just a different perspective on it.

  3. I'd take a horror story on Valentine's Day.
Might have to check out Every Day Fiction.

  4. Hurray!! That's totally awesome. And I love the idea of a horror story for Valentine's Day. I have to admit I've never been a big fan of the holiday LOL.

Congratulations! I can't wait to read the story. :)

  5. I love that you're the tart anti-valentine. I can't wait to read it! And I'm pretty sure that's the Holiann I went to college with - small world!

  6. Alex - I'm not saying it's a horror story. Just because it has "monsters" in the title... :) But go check out EDF - lots of great stories, across all genres.

Julie - I hope you like it! :)

Jillian - too funny about your classmate!

  7. so cool!!! cant wait to see wat u come up with!

  8. BIG congrats--sounds like classic Madeline to me! ;-)

And while I was catching up, I read your Zookeeper story (*shivers*)and China Doll--busy, busy Madeline. 2013's starting with a bang, huh?

  9. Cathy - thank you! I'm glad you stopped by and enjoyed the stories. We miss you over here! :)
