Relentless Ruby, Find Me An Oasis - Nailpolish Stories
One haunted past
* plus *
One barren future
* equals *
Two mini stories - Relentless Ruby and Find Me An Oasis, each exactly 25 words - published in the October 2018 issue of Nailpolish Stories.
Now that's my kind of math.

Pillow Talk, Pink Ponies Dancing - Nailpolish Stories
The Spring issue of Nailpolish Stories: A Tiny and Colorful Literary Journal is up, and I am pleased to say it includes two of my stories - Pillow Talk and Pink Ponies Dancing.
Now don't let those titles fool you. You all know by now that my imagination does not cross at the intersection of Soft and Pretty.

Coming Up Roses and Reflecting Pool - Nailpolish Stories
The July 2015 issue of Nailpolish Stories is live, and I'm happy to share that I have two stories published in it:
Coming Up Roses - a story of the survival instinct.
Reflecting Pool - a story of loathing and of loss.
I hope you enjoy my stories as well as the entire issue!

Book Promotion Tips and Writing Contests
Cathy Yardley's "How to Create a Promotion Plan 'Story'" and Sharon Bially's "Simple Promo Tip: Call Your Book By Its Name" are two excellent posts about book promotion. They definitely gave me some good ideas, and I hope they do the same for you.

The deadline for the WOW! Women on Writing Winter 2015 Flash Fiction Contest is coming up soon - February 28th! With a literary agent as the guest judge and lots of great prizes, why not give it a try? Good luck!

I admit it. Since my story, "The Empty Nest," appeared in the original Hint Fiction anthology (ed. Robert Swartwood, 2010,) I have a special place in my heart for the form. So this contest, sponsored by West Hartford Libraries, really drew my attention. The deadline isn't until May but why wait? Give it a shot!
