That's quite a challenge. Since I was splashing around in the Gulf with four of my grandchildren yesterday, the bar is set pretty doggone high, but I'll see what I can do. :)
I do need to make today awesome because I'm facing a three-day weekend with grumpy/bored children, but as far as making yesterday jealous? Eh. I can't remember five minutes ago, so...whatever.
Ha! I kinda love that quote, Madeline! And I loved catching up with y'all (I'm including Larry and Mrs. Larry). Congrats on the story and here's my reading rec: Hilbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance. I don't usually read memoirs (and seriously, the guy's like 31 so how is that a memoir???) but it's an eye-opening look into a segment of society that he's able to articulate well.
Also, on my last visit to the vet, I met a girl coming in holding a couple of rats in her arms like babies. I don't mean mice, I mean like big 'ol wharf rats. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Chickens are scary but rats are terrifying. HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF THE BUBONIC PLAGUE, SISTER????
Make today so awesome that tomorrow wants to get a head start.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I have a good day, it makes me want to make tomorrow even better.
Excellent attitude, Maria!
DeleteI like that!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great?!
DeleteHa! Love that quote!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad!
DeleteI like that idea! But I'm not sure if I can make a Sunday jealous of a Monday...
ReplyDeleteJust do what you can, Sarah. :)
DeleteThat is a challenge for a Monday. At least it's warmer today.
ReplyDeletePoor Monday - it gets so little love.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone can do it, Susan, you can. :)
DeleteSounds like a plan! I saw this a day late, but at least I got quite a bit accomplished yesterday. My "Hidden Library" is slowly taking shape!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late, JH! And yeh for accomplishing things. :)
DeleteI Like that!
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteDefinitely sounds like a plan. I think I can do it;)
ReplyDeleteI know you can, Murees!

ReplyDeleteI wish I was the one to SAY them, not just FIND them, but if nothing else, at least I can SHARE them. :)

Have a great April!
Good to see you around here, Cathy! The tortoises say the same. :)
DeleteThanks re my story and for the book recommendation - I think I saw you mention that over on Goodreads?
If it had been a rat I saw instead of a chicken, I'd have run so fast I'd be nothing but a blur wearing sneakers. :)
I'm looking for an awesome day today. I have so many things to get done!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be a good one. It's a new month, a new start. :)
DeleteLove this quote Madeline, stealing it :)
ReplyDeleteI only wish it was mine!
DeleteGreat quote. Thanks for co hosting.
