BETTER TO DO SOMETHING IMPERFECTLY THAN TO DO NOTHING FLAWLESSLY.
Robert Schuller
And what better inspiration for National Novel Writing Month than this? Permission to write imperfectly. Why? Because we're doing something. We're not just talking about it, we're not just dreaming about it. We're putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and we're birthing our passion, giving it bones and blood and flesh.
Good luck to all the NaNoWriMos out there! Be bold! Be proud! Be crazy!
That's a great quote for the NaNo participants, they've got lots of determination, definitely! I'm not doing NaNo, but I do enjoy cheering them on :)
ReplyDeleteHey, Joanne, thanks for stopping by. And we NaNo-ers can use all the help we can get - at least I can!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote, Madeline. I'm not doing NaNo this year (maybe next time?) but doing something imperfectly means putting yourself out there. And that is my motto for life. Better to do something than nothing. I might steal your quote, by the way. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Arlene! I have perfectionist tendencies so I'm reminding myself of this quote daily. :)
