Worth It

I came across the following quote right when I needed it the most. I just love when that kind of thing happens, don't you? So, I'm sharing the words here with you all, just in case you, or someone you know, is in need of them, too.

LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WAKE UP
IN THE MORNING WITH REGRETS,
SO LOVE THE PEOPLE WHO TREAT YOU RIGHT,
FORGET ABOUT THE ONES WHO DON'T,
AND BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING
HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

IF YOU GET A CHANCE, TAKE IT.
IF IT CHANGES YOUR LIFE, LET IT.

NOBODY SAID IT'D BE EASY,
THEY JUST PROMISED IT WOULD BE
WORTH IT.
(Harvey Mackay)

  1. That is good. Most of what we regret is what we don't do.

Cause and Effect. It's how we respond to the result that defines and molds us.

    1. I learned awhile back that there's a difference between "reacting" and "responding." I'm learning to try and pause, take a deep breath, then go ahead.

  3. As I get older, I find that all that time wasted on worry is not for me. Worry is for the young. Except for us old folks worrying about our young ones. You always pick the best quotes.

  8. So true. My mother always taught me not to worry about things that can't be changed. We all worry too much. Great little reminder to be positive. Thanks for sharing, Madeline. Hope you are having a good day today.

    1. I'm pretty sure worrying is in my blood. I'm doing what I can to manage it, to live with it, not be ruled by it.

I hope you're having a good day, too!

  9. I love the last part of the quote. I've often found that the hardest things in life (whether we choose them or not) are the things that have shaped me the most. This fits well with my goal this year--to do what scares me. :)

    1. I love that part, too. And that is some goal - you are a brave woman. :)

  10. Love it. We do live too much of life on reserve, holding back our feelings and hopes because they're not convenient or might disrupt the status quo. Here's to living, dreaming, and going for it, eh?

    1. I wish I was better at all that than I am, but I'm working on it, and that counts for something. :)

  11. I agree that dreaming is nice, but actually doing what it takes to get there is much nicer.
