REST
AND
BE THANKFUL.
(William Wordsworth)
During last week's IWSG post, I talked about feeling lost and burned out. Many of you recommended taking a break, recharging the batteries, refilling the creative well. Since you are a smart, creative bunch of folks, I decided to follow your advice (after checking with the tortoises, of course, since they do kind of run things around here. I am nothing but a shell-less minion to them.)
I'll still be popping in and out and visiting your blogs, but I won't be posting anything new until the end of December or the beginning of 2016. So, I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and encouragement. My words would just be out there flailing around in the world without wonderful readers like you.
All of us here at The Shellshank Redemption wish you a wonderful holiday season! Enjoy!
Re: shell-less minion
ReplyDeleteROTFL! I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that. Enjoy your break. We'll be here when you get back.
I'm sure your keyboard was glad you weren't drinking anything either. :)
DeleteHave a Merry Christmas and to what the tortoises say!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a Merry Christmas, too, Alex!
DeleteHave a happy Christmas! And enjoy your break. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine! Have a great holiday!
DeleteEnjoy. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteEnjoy your break. It's just what you need. I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI do think it's what I need right now. Merry Christmas to you!
DeleteTake all the time you need. Be kind to her turtles!
ReplyDeleteThey should be kind to me! They're tough bosses. :)
DeleteHave a nice break!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteEnjoy your rest. :-)

Thanks! :)
DeleteEnjoy your break, Madeline! It is well deserved.
ReplyDelete(But I'm glad you'll still be visiting. I'd miss you.)
Happy holidays!
I'd miss all of you guys, too!
DeleteEnjoy your break, Madeline, and come back refreshed and creatively energized. I'm recovering from a deep funk (partially because of the knee surgery) and finally feel like writing again. I think our energy goes in cycles just like the rest of life.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder about those energy cycles. And I'm glad to hear you're feeling better and feeling like writing again. :)
DeleteOh good! Nothing better than recharging the battery. Have a great break and I really hope you enjoy your holidays more without the added pressure.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystal! I really think I will enjoy everything a bit more.
DeleteHave a great break! I hope you store up a lot of creative energy to use in the new year!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! :)
DeleteI think this time of year can be stressful for a lot of folks, taking a break is a good idea. Just don't take too long of a break, sometimes it can be hard to jump back in afterwards. Trust me. Anyway, recharge, enjoy your break, and hit the ground running when you come back. Happy holidays!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood point about not taking too long a break. Happy Holidays to you, too!
DeleteHope you have a fantastic festive season. See you next year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The same to you. :)
DeleteHave a great and refreshing break! I think I'll take off Christmas week, at least.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I hope your break is a good one, too.
DeleteGood for you! Taking a break, believe it or not, can be very difficult, but it is great that you are taking some time to yourself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog for December's IWSG, and I hope you feel recharged soon!
It really is hard for a lot of people to take a break, to relax. I'm not doing the best job at it right now, but I'm trying. :)
DeleteHave a good rest! Hope you come back feeling inspired!
ReplyDeleteMe, too. :)
DeleteMerry Christmas, Madeline, family and turtles!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holidays and lots of rest and relaxation. :)
Thank you! We all hope you have a great Christmas, too. :)
Delete"Shell-less minion" is my new favorite nickname. I hope your break is peaceful and re-energizing!
ReplyDeleteHa! :)
DeleteIt was a pretty good break, but I'm ready to get back to things....
