Motivational Monday

I WANT US EACH TO BE AWAKE
TO OUR FULL POTENTIAL,
TO FIND OUR CALLING,
AND TO SUMMON THE COURAGE TO LIVE IT.
IMAGINE A WORLD
WHERE WE ALL LIFT OURSELVES UP,
AND THEN REACH OUT AND LIFT SOMEONE ELSE.
AND SO TOGETHER, WE RISE.
(Oprah Winfrey)

I can imagine that world…because I see it every day.

I see it every time I log on to my computer and read all of your blogs. Need help with a cover reveal, a book tour, a review? Need writing advice, encouragement? Need to rant, to weep? Need chocolate, cheese, wine? Someone is there. Always.

For every person who is struggling, who is discouraged, who is confused, who is frustrated, a hand is ready to lift them. I've been lifted, and I hope I've done the same for others.

Let's continue to help each other rise.

  3. We really all do that in the blog world don't we? I have noticed this as well. Everyone is there for one another and so supportive of one another. It's really heartwarming to see :-)

  7. That is SO true! I tried Blogger in 2008, when MySpace's blogging community started going bad. I didn't find much of a community here. I lost interest after a while. When I came back earlier this year and found the group that had gathered thanks to Alex, I was amazed. Now I see that he's gathered something similar to what MySpace had.

    1. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find your people. But when you do, it's amazing!

  8. So true! It's why I keep hanging around Blogger even though blogging takes time, and whenever I get to a post where someone has not yet disabled captcha I think "Grrr, I don't have time for this!" But I always manage to find the time for blogging because of these very reasons. It's my writing community.

    1. Blogging definitely does take time. And I hear you on Captcha, although I'm coming across less of them - thankfully! :)

  9. I have to say, the blogging community really is a community. Not just a bunch of random people out there shouting, but supporting when things are going good or bad. What a wonderful thing!

    1. It really is! I don't spend much time on other social media so I don't know if it's similar to blogging re communities or if it's more "random people out there shouting."

  13. Love that quote from Oprah Winfrey. I think she is one of the most inspiring women! And love this blogging community as well! It is amazing how everyone lifts, encourages, and celebrates together. I'm thankful for all the wonderful and inspiring people I've met in the past few months, especially you! :)
