Motivational Monday

WHEN IN DOUBT, MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF.
THERE IS A MICROSCOPICALLY THIN LINE
BETWEEN BEING BRILLIANTLY CREATIVE AND
ACTING LIKE THE MOST GIGANTIC IDIOT ON EARTH.
SO WHAT THE HELL, LEAP.
(Cynthia Heimel)

I don't consider myself particularly brave. I am a little paranoid and a lot suspicious. I dip my toe in the Gulf before wading in up to my knees, and it will take quite awhile before I  venture farther in. I will rarely, if ever, go in over my head.

But once in awhile, I decide to take a chance. And so, for The Blogging from A-Z Challenge April 2014 I'm doing just that….

I tend to share only my published stories because, in my mind, they've been vetted by industry professionals. It's like going out into the world wearing an outfit approved by the fashion police. Well, starting tomorrow, I'm sharing stories that - except for a certain few - have not been read by anyone other than my husband. I will be going out into the world (okay, my office) wearing Minion lounge pants and a NaNo t-shirt (literally.)

Hopefully, I land on the "brilliantly creative" side of that thin line and not the "gigantic idiot" side, but either way, I'm proud of myself for taking the "leap."

Go ahead and "leap" this week. Take a calculated risk. Challenge yourself. Go for it!

    1. "Bold" is not an outfit I usually wear, but I do like the idea of trying it on occasionally.
