A Unique Way to Handle Negative Reviews

My husband and I met author Brad Meltzer many years ago, back when he was touring for his early books, like The Tenth Justice. He came to the little independent bookstore in town more than once and every single time he was nice and sincere and just seemed happy to be there.

We haven't read many of his newer books (he started writing more conspiracy type stories rather than the straight legal thriller/thrillers we tend to like), but after seeing this video, we might just have to pick up the new one, The Fifth Assassin, or, at the very least, go back and re-read the older ones.

You might be tempted to also, if for no other reason than to give the guy credit for creatively poking fun at himself.

  1. That was hilarious! Now the really pompous review I got on my first book from Publishers Weekly doesn't seem so bad.

  6. Milo - I read a few of those Hardy Boys books, but I was definitely more of a Nancy Drew fan. :)
