YOU DON'T DROWN BY FALLING IN WATER;
YOU ONLY DROWN IF YOU STAY THERE.
Get up! Get up already!
Add a few not-so-nice names to those words and you have what I scream at myself when I find myself wallowing in self-pity or defeat or even in just the plain old blues. But I like Mr. Ziglar's words a lot better and plan on using them. (Besides, berating myself wasn't doing much good anyway.)
We all fall. We all get knocked off course somehow, some way. We get stuck, stymied, confused, frustrated, rejected. That stuff is going to happen - we're human and we live in the "real" world. We don't want to ignore those troubles or feelings but we also don't want to dwell in them any longer than necessary.
This week, let's use Mr. Ziglar's words as if they're a clean, fresh towel. Let's wipe our faces, dry ourselves off, and begin again.
