THE SAME THINKING THAT HAS LED YOU TO
WHERE YOU ARE IS NOT GOING TO LEAD YOU TO
WHERE YOU WANT TO GO.
(Albert Einstein)
This reminds me of that saying - insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
It's about taking a step back, taking as objective a look as we can, looking at whatever it is in a new light, from a new angle. It's about learning and growing, reaching and striving. It's about shouting down both the naysayers and the little negative voice in our heads with a bigger, positive one. It's about change and changing.
If we want different, we have to do and say and be different. It's not easy, but it is possible.
Powerful quote; he was a pretty smart guy, from what I've read. =] And you're right: it IS possible.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible, yes but it's also really really tough. But worth it? I think so. I hope so. :)
ReplyDeleteThose naysayers are hard to ignore, aren't they? I find that surrounding myself with positive people helps me improve my state of mind. You know what I love about Einstein? He loved his bicycle almost as much as I do!
ReplyDeleteI agree re surrounding ourselves with positive people - sometimes it's hard to find them, though. And sometimes it's hard to be one! :)
ReplyDeleteStacy, did you read the "To Ride and To Write" post? As a fellow fan of bike riding, I think you'll get a kick out of it. :)
