SUCCESS SEEMS TO BE LARGELY A MATTER OF
HANGING ON WHEN OTHERS HAVE LET GO.
(William Feather)
We get to read and enjoy the writers who hang on. I want to be one of those writers. I will be one of those writers. If I have to hang on by my last raggedy fingernail, I will do it.
And you will, too. Whether it's writing or something else you're passionate about, hang on and know you're not alone. Just look over and you'll see a number of us hanging onto our own ledges.
But please...nobody wave.
But please...nobody wave.
Hi Madeline,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspirational post. Persistence does pay, but for writers generally not too much.
Donna
Good luck to you, Madeline, tenacity is truly the key to success. (The wave line was clever. :))
ReplyDeleteDonna- glad you liked the quote!
ReplyDeleteIt might not pay in dollars (but then again, who knows?!) but it definitely pays in knowing you had a dream or a passion and went for it, right?:)
Thanks, Sally!
ReplyDeleteEvery once in awhile a clever line slips in. :)
I laughed out loud at your waving-:-D
ReplyDeleteBut I agree-you WILL be one of the success stories. Well, heck, Madeline. You already are!
Thank you so much, Cathy! And right back at you... :)
