This quote really hit home for me. I'm one of those people who's always sad when something good comes to an end - an experience, a vacation, a holiday, a family gathering. I know, who isn't? I'm not just sad, though. I mope. I'm melancholy, nostalgic. That good thing will never, ever happen again. And it's true; it won't. Not that exact thing or event. Others will (hopefully!) but that one is over and done. But the bold words above have wiped away my tears, and I am now better able to see, and to feel, all the wonderful moments - for what they were then - good experiences - and for what they are now - good memories.
